FOOTSTEPS COLLEGE SPORTS PLACEMENT SERVICE…

IT IS TIME…

TO GIVE BACK 2 BACK…

COLLEGE PLACEMENT SERVICE

BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY ALUMNI

CEO CO-FOUNDER FOOTSTEPS YOUTH PROGRAM LLC.

DEMETRIUS E. ROSS

Footsteps Sport Mentoring Program, has kicked off the College Placement Service. Demetrius Ross CEO and Boise State Graduate, Two Time Conference and Humanitarian Bowl Champion would like to create a opportunity for high school youth. “I want the youth to see that the grass is not always greener on the other side it can also be BLUE.

The College Placement Program will provide an oppertunity to youth that want to continue their education while participating in their sports, some may even recieve a shot at a scholarship.  Our goal is to support youth that may not have the grades or have landed that big division 1 offer to still find a school. I want youth to know that there is a place for them. “When given the opportunity to succeed, you have to choose to fail.” The sports placement service is that opportunity for some. By working together we have no choice but to succeed and investing in a quality future allows us to help place your children in college.

Cain is Able…

 “LADY GEMS”

Battle tested and approved, the Lady Gems found the “Ark” late when they needed it, shooting over 50% from three as a team. It was Catherine “Clutch” Cain who lead the Gems with 25 points. Nearly perfect going 6-6 from the field,  2-2 from three and the only blemish if you can call it that,  7-8 from the charity stripe, all never leaving the court.

After leading for the first 3 quarters, the Gems fell behind to Detroit late in the fourth. With game face on Head Coach Lucius Jones gave the signal to his floor general to slap on the old school UNLV Running Rebels “Ameba” Press. The pressure cause two late turnovers, one for a quick two and the other lead to a foul and two freebies.  Now up five and the game well under a minute you could hear the bus warming up and the patter of feet exiting the stage.

If you missed this one shame on you, don’t let it happen again. Come out and help The Columbus Hidden Gems defend home court vs. The Flint Lady Monarchs this Saturday May 21st at 6:00pm.

Footsteps Welcomes “Bobbi Brkovic” to the Family…

BOBBI BRKOVIC

FOOTSTEPS ATHLETIC TRAINER &

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Footsteps is proud and blessed to have such a well-rounded intelligent, power member join our team.  Bobbi is graduate of the University or Akron where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training.  I had to honor of meeting with Bobbi this past year, while working together with an Indoor Professional Football Team.  Once we had the opportunity to sit down and talk it was her spirit and passion to make a difference in people’s lives that most impressed me. Bobbi has become a vital part to our program.  Her knowledge in her field and administrative skills has set this company on a faster track for growth and success. Passion is the fuel that drives this company, and with the addition of our own Sports Athletic Trainer our families and youth can trust that their son or daughter will have quality care, while participating in our events.

* I asked Ms. Brkovic, whats you goal? She exclaimed “To be in a Head Trainer for a Professional Team, where she could be in a position to help all those who needed it, and to show young ladies who will come after her that all dreams are possible”.

* Footsteps goal is to “Change Lives One Step at a Time ” and to create an opportunity for dreams to become reality. We will assist all inspired youth who have dreams as well as Ms. Brkovic to put themselves in the best position possible to obtain them.

*  If  you are inquiring about Athletic Training (Intern Positions), or interested in contracting a certified trainer please contact Bobbi Brkovic.  Her resume and contact information can be found under the Staff tab.

Gahanna Lincoln High School is hosting the Ohio Jostens Renaissance Collaborative Conference on October 14, 2011. This is a conference for all elementary, middle, and high school teachers and students who are looking for ways to improve their school climate and culture. It’s an offshoot of the Jostens Renaissance National Conference. National speaker and former NFL player Keith Nord is going to give the keynote address and he will lead a Leadershop for students. Last year was our first year of hosting such a conference and it was highly successful. Next October’s event will be even better. It’s important to get it on your calendars now.
